Europa Concert From Oxford
For 20 years, the Berliner Philharmoniker has celebrated its foundation on May 1st with the annual Europa Konzert which, in 2010, took place in Oxford. The orchestra, under the baton of worldwide renowned musician Daniel Barenboim, welcomes cellist Alisa Weilerstein. Repertoire includes: Richard Wagner: Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Prelude to Act III; Sir Edward Elgar: Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85; Johannes Brahms: Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68.
OVATION NO LONGER ON AUSTAR
Ovation regrets to advise that after 12 years the channel will no longer be available on AUSTAR from midnight on 31 May 2012.
Ovation and AUSTAR have worked together to do everything possible to avoid this outcome, but circumstances have forced the cessation of Ovation on the AUSTAR platform. As you are probably aware, the AUSTAR platform has been acquired by Foxtel, and Ovation was unfortunately removed from Foxtel two years ago.
We thank all our AUSTAR customers for their support and loyalty over the years.
The good news is you can still make Ovation a part of your life. For instance, you can subscribe to Ovation from this website. Ovation is also available on LG Smart TVs from May and will soon be available on Samsung and Panasonic Smart TVs.
